The Mental Health Hospital in the Home Unit is an acute mental health service offered in the Hervey Bay area.
We provide people who are experiencing acute mental illness with care, treatment and support in their own home.
Intensive specialist care is provided for up to 14 days. When suitable, this option replaces admission or extended stay in the inpatient unit.
Access to service
The Mental Health Hospital in the Home Unit is only available by referral from within the Mental Health Service.
Referrals are accepted seven days a week.
