Allowances and remuneration
Rural and remote incentives
Nurses and midwives permanently located in eligible rural and remote districts and health care facilities may be eligible for a number of incentives including:
- additional professional development leave and travel
- additional leave allowances
- airfares to the nearest coastal centre
- bonus payments for years of continuous service.

Allowances for specific roles
Nursing professionals may be eligible for allowances specifically related to their roles including night shift, operating theatre and secure mental health facility allowances.
Superannuation (pension)
Generous employer contribution to superannuation of up to 12.75% of your annual salary is provided. Employee contributions are compulsory for permanent employees via QSuper.
