eLearning package for clinicians

An eLearning package has been developed to help authorised doctors, authorised psychiatrists and authorised mental health practitioners comply with their obligations under the Mental Health Act 2016. The training is mandatory; all authorised doctors/psychiatrists and authorised mental health practitioners must complete the training to be authorised under the Act.

The package includes 2 courses:

  • Authorised doctor/authorised psychiatrist course (13 modules)
Participants are required to successfully complete an assessment in each of the 13 modules to pass the course.
  • Authorised mental health practitioners course (8 modules)
Participants are required to successfully complete an assessment in the 8 mandatory modules to pass the course. Participants may also view the other 5 modules.

The difference in the courses reflects the different roles and responsibilities that authorised doctors/authorised psychiatrists and authorised mental health practitioners have under the Act.

Both courses are hosted on iLearn.
