We are pleased to confirm that all novel coronavirus (COVID-19) patients at the Gold Coast University Hospital have been discharged.
All five patients have now been clinically cleared by their treating team and were 100 per cent fit to leave the hospital.
The remaining members of the tour group in isolation in GCUH have also been clinically cleared and discharged.
Some of the members of this group remain in quarantine outside of hospital as a precaution clearing the 14-day isolation period. None of this group are unwell.
Gold Coast University Hospital staff have done a tremendous job treating these patients - and the efforts of Gold Coast and the entire Queensland community have been amazing in helping fight the spread of this virus.
