A positive screening result - what next?

If you have received a positive result for bowel screening, traces of blood were found in your sample/s. This could be due to many things and does not mean you definitely have bowel cancer. Please discuss your result with your healthcare provider. It is likely they will recommend a colonoscopy.

It is important that you follow through with this referral so a specialist can help to find out the source of blood in your sample.
