Quality policy statement

Group Linen Services (GLS) is a Government-owned semi-commercial business unit that specialises in providing linen hire services to Queensland Health facilities. Our commitment is “to deliver the best quality and most cost-effective option for the provision of linen to the public health sector.”

GLS is a part of the COVID-19 Supply Chain Surety Division (CSCSD) which was established in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to manage the unprecedented demand for personal protective equipment (PPE) other critical medical supplies locally and internationally.

This Division is also leading the implementation of the Queensland Government Critical Supply Reserve (QGCSR) and delivering an end-to-end supply chain management function from demand planning through to warehousing and distribution into a single integrated Division led by the Deputy Director-General Corporate Services Division.

We are committed to continuous improvement and have established a Quality Management System which provides a framework for measuring and improving our performance.

To achieve this and satisfy customers' expectations, GLS is committed to maintaining a Quality Management System compliant with AS/NZS ISO 9001:2015. Group Linen Services holds BSI Certificate Number FS520941—For the provision of Health Facility Linen.

We empower and expect our team to:

  • Understand and comply with the requirements of our quality management system
  • Comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Continue to review processes and procedures, policies and objectives to improve performance if they are in a leadership role
  • Identify improvement opportunities
  • Participate in decision-making processes.

Our internal procedures are reviewed regularly and held in a network drive made available to all employees.

Although the Director has accountability, all employees have a responsibility within their work areas to help ensure that quality is embedded within the whole of Group Linen Services.

This statement indicates GLS’s attitude to its customer relationships and its excellence in service delivery. GLS seeks the full support of all employees and suppliers in actively pursuing this quest for quality and becoming Australia’s best healthcare support partner.
