Queensland Government Critical Supply Reserve

banner for the Queensland Government Critical Supply Chain

A statewide reserve is being established to protect against supply chain disruption and secure critical supplies for Queensland.

The reserve will ensure frontline workers have access to the supplies and equipment needed to support essential services. It will also ensure supply arrangements are not disrupted during a public health emergency or natural disaster, including bushfires, cyclones and floods.

The COVID-19 pandemic has shown that changes need to happen to critical supply arrangements to better prepare for future large-scale disasters and to protect the state’s ability to respond.

About the Critical Supply Reserve

Queensland is future-proofing and boosting its supplies of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other critical items to protect frontline workers and the safety and wellbeing of Queenslanders.

Enhancing Queensland's supply chains

New and enhanced supply chain and procurement practices will help transform how critical items are supplied, stored and distributed to support the establishment of the Reserve.

Help us develop the Reserve

Manufacturers and suppliers of PPE and other materials and equipment will play a key role in developing the Critical Supply Reserve and a resilient supply chain.
