Core and Specialist Skills Assessment (CSAts)
The Core and Specialist Skills Assessments (CSAts) are the tool used to assess core competencies encompassing key areas of knowledge and practice for allied health clinicians working in MHAOD services.
Core CSAts
Core CSAts outline MHAOD skills which will be developed over the duration of the two-year program. All core CSAts are considered mandatory.
Area CSAts
Area CSAts are practice area specific MHAOD skills and are to be completed only during the relevant rotations. A graduate is only expected to complete Area CSAts if they are on a rotation within that practice are. Area CSAts are an opportunity to build on the educational and training content graduates have access to as part of completing the New Graduate Program. They are a guide to inform individual learning in rotations, and conversations between the graduate, supervisor and line/operational manager.
Further information about CSATs is available in the CSAt Overview Summary.
