Guidelines for acute common condition and health and wellbeing services

On 1 July 2025, the acute common condition and health and wellbeing services previously provided under the Scope of Practice Pilot and the Hormonal Contraception Pilot transitioned to expanded scope business-as-usual community pharmacy services.

These guidelines were developed by Queensland Health to support pharmacists with ongoing delivery of care.

The Queensland community pharmacy clinical practice guidelines and clinical protocols are effective from 1 July 2025. Pharmacists should familiarise themselves with the revised guidelines and protocols and ensure that they are using the most current versions.
