ACRA 2026 Core Components of CR update

The updated CR Core Components (PDF 4817 kB) position statement reflects the contemporary societal, technological and health system changes, while reaffirming fundamental principles and the robust evidence base that underpin CR best practice. It acknowledges the diversity of local contexts and resources across Australia and is therefore not intended to be prescriptive. Instead, it provides guidance for CR leaders, including nurses, allied health professionals and medical practitioners, to design and deliver evidence‑based, context‑sensitive programs. By outlining the full breadth of Core Components essential to contemporary practice, this statement aims to support the establishment of lifelong preventative care for individuals following a cardiovascular diagnosis. It should be used in conjunction with key QH documents.
