Queensland is a culturally diverse state. In 2011, more than one in five Queenslanders (20.5 per cent) was born overseas and 9.8 per cent of the population spoke a language other than English at home.

The following statistics are presented to assist health workers to better understand the diversity in the Queensland population and to better plan health services to meet the needs of health consumers.

It is ok to complain, and there are organisations that are independent of the government that can help you, free of charge.
