Know your risk
Learn about the natural disasters that happen in your area and how these events can impact your daily life, your household and your community.
The local council disaster dashboard on the Get Ready website can help you stay informed about potential risks and hazards specific to your area and how they may affect how you manage your health.
After the event, be safe and know your limits. Don’t clean up unless you are physically able and it's safe to do so. Be aware of health and safety during and after a disaster.
If you have life threatening symptoms, call 000 or emergency services.
Know your healthcare options
If you have a health condition, check in with your healthcare provider before disaster season to work out your emergency care plan.
