Queensland Youth Cancer Services: for health professionals

Queensland Youth Cancer Service (QYCS) is for young people with cancer, aged between 15 to 25 years. The service also supports health professionals and community support services that care for young people living with cancer.

We can provide:

  • information about national guidelines and resources.
  • details of Queensland-specific support services, resources, and clinical pathways.
  • capacity and capability training tailored to AYA specialist care for health professionals.
  • access to the QYCS professional development program, including in-service programs, workshops, webinars and virtual Grand Rounds.
  • research and quality improvement support.
  • information about available and accessible clinical trials for your young people.

Referrals

We also welcome referrals from:

  • General Practitioners (GP)
  • hospital cancer services
  • nursing, social work, psychology, medical, or other health professional team members
  • schools

Young people and their families can also contact us directly. If they do, we will ask for the contact details of their treating specialist or GP.
