About the program
The Happy Teeth Program helps educators and health professionals promote good dental health in children under 5 by:
- understanding their role in dental health education
- supporting parents, and helping children learn why it’s important to have healthy teeth and gums
- leading children to form good dental habits that support their health throughout life.
Using the resource kit
The Happy Teeth Program resource kit (PDF 5971 kB) includes information, classroom activities and case studies about:
- eating and drinking well
- toothbrushing and dental hygiene
- the importance of regular dental checks.
It also has information for developing healthy eating policies and communicating with parents and carers.
