The Cunningham Centre is Queensland Health’s largest and most established Registered Training Organisation. Since its establishment in 1989, the centre has been involved in high quality training, education, research and support of health personnel in rural and remote Queensland.
The main office is located on the Toowoomba Hospital campus with other offices in Cairns, Innisfail, Townsville, Brisbane, Roma, and Stanthorpe. Infrastructure support services are provided by the Darling Downs Health Service District whilst professional support is provided by the Office of Rural and Remote Health.
A statewide team of experienced and accredited trainers deliver a wide range of high quality programs throughout Queensland in areas such as Medicine, Nursing, Allied Health, Vocational Education and Training and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education and Training. The Cunningham Centre employs a wide variety of delivery modes, including onsite training in hospitals, clinics, healthcare centres, video conferencing and teleconferencing.
The Cunningham Centre embraces the important values of excellence in the delivery of relevant training and education, the provision of post-graduate clinical upskilling, support for clinical and non-clinical staff and partnering with others stakeholders in the industry, all underpinned by integrity, quality, leadership, learning and teamwork.
