AH-TRIP Workshop 2024

The AH-TRIP initiative is pleased to offer a 'Coaching Workshop' in March 2024. This hybrid workshop is designed as a professional development and networking opportunity for those health practitioners who would like to develop (or further enhance) their knowledge, skills, and confidence to support others in the development and delivery of TRIP, QI, and other service development projects underpinned by implementation science.

The overall objective of this workshop is: -

For health practitioners to have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support others in developing and delivering quality or solving health system problems, underpinned by the Translation of Research into Practice (TRIP), also known as Knowledge Translation.

Workshop Information

Target Audience:

  • Workforce Development Officers with TRIP, quality improvement (QI) and service development portfolios and experience
  • HPs with past AH-TRIP or TRIP project development and delivery experience
    • AH-TRIP Telementees
    • CARHLI Metro North AH-TRIP Start-up Funding Recipients
    • KT Course Participants
    • Showcase Presenters
    • AH-TRIP Champions
    • TRIP Fellows
    • 1:1 Trip Mentors or Mentees
  • HP Research Fellow
  • Health Improvement Unit (HIU) Fellows
  • Interprofessional Practice Educators

Members of the AH-TRIP initiative will facilitate the workshop, and core resources will be made available to support the learning and engagement of attendees.

Attendance:

  • The workshop will be held at the Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH), Metro South - Main Building, Room 1.2L.1.
  • The PAH is located at: 199 Ipswich Road, Woolloongabba, Brisbane - QLD, 4102.
  • In person and virtual attendance options are available.

Assumed Capabilities:

  • Understanding of project management and project development approaches.
  • Some prior understanding and experience applying TRIP or project methodology.
  • Experience with identifying and engaging key stakeholders in health project delivery.
  • Able to develop and communicate project management approaches to less experienced HPs.

Pre-requisite Skills/Experience:

  • This workshop requires you to have some previous understanding of implementation science or high-level project management skills and experience within the healthcare context.
  • Desire or work requirement to help other HPs develop and deliver TRIP, QI, or other service development projects within your HHS.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITY

Regional, Rural and Remote Travel Reimbursement:

  • Eligible regional, rural and remote HPs are encouraged to submit an EOI to access support to attend the workshop in person.
  • The support package will provide travel and accommodation reimbursement for successful eligible applicants.
  • EOI Closes: 16th February 2024.
