Immunisation Clinical Preceptor Program

Course outline

As an Immunisation Clinical Preceptor you will support emerging immunisation nurses during their Optional Clinical Placement.

This online module is designed to help support you in your role as an Immunisation Clinical Preceptor.

You will be awarded a Certificate of Completion and a minimum of 4.5 hours Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours upon successful completion of the 'required learning' in the online module. You can independently record any additional professional development hours.

Admission criteria

You must hold current registration to practice as a registered nurse or midwife in Australia and have a valid Immunisation qualification to practice as an authorised immunisation provider in Queensland within your scope of practice.

Experience and competency in a relevant immunisation setting is required to supervise students completing placement. You will be required to sign a declaration stating your immunisation qualification and experience when assessing a student.

Entry into this program is via a self- enrolment process following approval of your expression of interest by the Cunningham Centre Immunisation Course Nurse Educators.
