Accreditations, certifications and terms of reference

The World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre for Reference and Research on Leptospirosis, as part of Forensic and Scientific Services, has attained recognition of our business management processes within a number of arenas.

NATA (National Association of Testing Authorities) Certification—AS/NZS ISO 9001

ISO 9001 endorsement enables Forensic and Scientific Services to provide analytical scientific and pathology services to government, industry and the public, with the recognition of certification from this international organisation.

NATA-RCPA Accreditation (National Association of Testing Authorities-Royal College of Pathologists Association)

This accreditation scheme assesses pathology laboratories against the standards developed by the National Pathology Accreditation Advisory Council (NPAAC) and involves the assessment of test methodology within the laboratory from specimens of human origin.
