First Nations Peoples Burden of Disease Report 2018
The Queensland First Nations Peoples Burden of Disease Report 2018 (PDF 11849 kB) shows trends in the burden of disease experience from 2011 to 2018.
This includes:
- significant reductions in cardiovascular disease burden
- a 4% reduction in the burden of disease and injury rate.
The leading causes of disease burden were:
- mental and substance use disorders (24%)
- injury (12%)
- cancer and other neoplasms (10%).
