Our Reframing the Relationship Plan strengthens our commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The plan provides direction for all Queensland Health services to work in partnership with First Nations peoples to co-design health services, improve health outcomes and ensure care that is inclusive, respectful and culturally safe.

It focuses on:

  • Cultural safety and capability in health care services
  • Health equity and eliminating institutional racism and racial discrimination
  • Embedding First Nations voices in service design and delivery
  • Supporting First Nations leadership and workforce growth
  • Aligning with statewide strategies like the First Nations First Strategy 2032 and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Equity Framework.
