The Memorandum of Understanding between Queensland Health and Queensland Corrective Services for prisoner health services (PDF 384 kB) took effect on 27 May 2020.

It includes:

  • how we work together to provide prisoner health services at Queensland Corrective Services facilities
  • our shared responsibilities
  • the framework for governance, training, and managing complaints and investigations.

Health testing clinics at community corrections offices

The Memorandum of Understanding between Queensland Health and Queensland Corrective Services for health testing clinics at community corrections offices (PDF 1779 kB) took effect on 6 September 2021.

It includes:

  • how we work together to give people under community correction orders access to health education, testing and treatment for blood borne viruses, such as hepatitis and HIV
  • our responsibilities
  • the framework for managing risks, complaints and information sharing.

Information sharing

The Information sharing agreement between Queensland Health and Queensland Corrective Services (PDF 568 kB) took effect on 29 June 2023.

It includes:

  • how we can share certain types of information without consent, to protect the health and safety of prisoners or other people
  • the types of information we can and can’t share
  • the processes used to deal with privacy breaches and resolve disputes.

The Information sharing agreement operating guidelines (PDF 670 kB) include the day to day guidelines that employees follow when sharing information under the agreement.
