Access with patient consent obtained
This information is for researchers seeking access to information or materials held by Pathology Queensland that potentially contains identifiable—or potentially re-identifiable—data. See more about confidential information access.
If you are a researcher from within Queensland Health, or a non-Queensland Health researcher, are conducting approved research, and you have obtained participant or patient consent, you can apply to use data or diagnostic samples held by Pathology Queensland.
How to apply
To apply for access to patient data or diagnostic material as a:
- Queensland Health researcher—email your research proposal and HREC approval letter to Pathology Queensland Client Services at PathQldClients@health.qld.gov.au.
- Non-Queensland Health researcher—email a completed AUSLAB Data Access Request (DOCX, 250.4 KB) (required) together with your research proposal and HREC approval letter to Pathology Queensland Client Services at PathQldClients@health.qld.gov.au.
After requests meet all requirements, confidential information will be released by Pathology Queensland and be made available by secure data transfer.
