Internal and collaborative research

To conduct research at Pathology Queensland—either internally or collaboratively—you must:

  • register your research
  • obtain ethics approval
  • obtain research governance approval to conduct research
  • comply with your reporting obligations by reporting to the ethics and research governance offices
  • inform the Research Office about any publications or presentations resulting from the research.

Author affiliation is to be reported appropriately. Where an author’s primary or secondary affiliation is with a Pathology Queensland department, authors must cite their affiliation with Pathology Queensland, the relevant department and the specific site/laboratory where research is being conducted, for example Pathology Queensland, Microbiology, Townsville OR Pathology Queensland, Chemical Pathology, Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.
