School immunisation clinics

Queensland’s School Immunisation Program (SIP) provides free vaccines to Year 7 and Year 10 students in all Queensland state and non-state secondary schools.

Hosting a school immunisation clinic

All secondary schools in Queensland receive the Information for Schools booklet (PDF, 567KB)  that outlines how schools can facilitate a successful immunisation clinic, with tips on what needs to be done before, during and after the clinics.

Sample letters to parents/legal guardians and a school newsletter article are included to help keep your school community up-to-date.

Parent information and consent cards

Parents will be sent detailed information and asked for their consent prior to any school immunisation clinics.

Parents can find out more about immunisation through the school program and download the consent card.
