Understanding acquired brain injury

Acquired brain injuries can be caused by a range of things, such as injury, illness or degenerative brain conditions, such as Parkinson’s, disease or dementia. Recovery after a brain injury is different for everyone, depending on how serious your injury is and what part of your brain was injured. Most people have ongoing problems with their attention, memory, and changes to their behaviour.
