Understanding Huntington’s Disease
Huntington's Disease (HD) is an inherited neurological condition that affects the nervous system. People with HD can have 3 types of symptoms — physical, thinking (cognitive), and emotional or personality changes.
Most people start experiencing symptoms between 30 and 50 years old. In rare cases symptoms can present before the age of 20 years old, known as Juvenile Huntington’s disease.
