The MHSS serves to support equitable access to professional development opportunities, and as a strategy to enable the MHAOD workforce to demonstrate excellence to meet the needs of a world class health system (Department of Health Strategic Plan 2021-2025 Objective 3: Support and advance our workforce Strategy 3.3).

Other benefits gained from completing the post-graduate studies in mental health on a MHSS scholarship include:

Merit listing

Missed out on a scholarship? If you were not successful in first round offers but your application was suitable for the reservation list, you will be notified.

Should an approved recipient decline their offer, fail to accept their offer by the cut-off date, cease their study, or fail to meet any of the ongoing criteria, the available scholarship will be offered to applicants on the reserve list, in order of merit.

Applicants on the reserve list may be contacted at any time with an offer.
