Other ways to take part in research

Information about other ways you can take part in research including teletrials, research committees and donations.

Teletrials

If you live in a rural or remote area, you may be able to take part in a teletrial. This means having the support of your family and friends while you’re doing the trial and less travel and accommodation costs.

Read Robyn's story, who after being diagnosed with breast cancer was able to take part in a clinical trial being run in Townsville, from her home in Airlie Beach.

You can also listen to an interview with Queensland Health's Professor Sabe Sabesan on ABC Health Report.

Taking part in a research committee

To take part in a research committee in your area you need to contact your local hospital and health service.

Making a donation or bequest

Anybody can contribute financially to the health and wellbeing of the community by making a donation or bequest to a hospital foundation.

You can also contact the foundations if you have an idea for a research topic.
