Pilot participation requirements
To enable services to be delivered as part of the pilot, the Medicines and Poisons (Medicines) Regulation 2021 has been amended to allow participating pharmacists to undertake additional prescribing activities in line with the parameters established in the Extended Practice Authority – Pharmacists - Community pharmacy chronic conditions management pilot.
Specific legislative provisions and participation requirements apply to the pilot, and pharmacists and pharmacy owners must meet the participation requirements and be authorised by Queensland Health before they can deliver pilot services.
For further information on how to deliver services as part of the pilot, refer to the Information guide for pharmacy owners and pharmacists (PDF 220 kB).
Pharmacy owners who wish to participate in the pilot can apply using the registration form.
If a pharmacy is already authorised to participate in the pilot and wishes to register an additional pharmacist/s to participate, please email the Pilot Coordination Team.
For further information about participating in the pilot, please email the Pilot Coordination Team.
