Professional Supervision Training

This self-directed online training package is designed to build the capability and confidence of allied health professionals in receiving and providing effective, reflective and supportive supervision. Grounded in evidence-based principles, the training explores key elements of high-quality supervision practice, encouraging participants to reflect on their current approaches and apply new strategies in their workplace context.

Each module introduces relevant concepts and practical tools to support high-quality supervision. The overall aim is to strengthen supervision capability across the allied health workforce and support a culture of continuous learning, safety and clinical excellence.

Allied health professionals across all levels of experience who are involved in, or preparing for, the supervision of students or staff will benefit from this training. It is suitable for both new and experienced supervisors.

No. There are no prerequisites for this training package. It is open to all staff.

This training is delivered online and is fully self-directed. You can work through the content at your own pace.

The training consists of a series of online modules, each taking approximately 20–30 minutes to complete. You can complete the modules at your own pace, in any order, using any device.

There are no formal assessments. The focus is on reflection and applying the concepts to your own supervision context. Upon completing a module, you will receive a certificate of completion.

This training is available free of charge to all Queensland Health Staff, along with external participants.
