Queensland Health is proud to introduce its first disability awareness campaign, See Me. Hear Me. Respect Me., designed to shine a light on the unique health and communication needs of people with disability.

Co-designed with members of the Queenslanders with Disability Network (QDN), the campaign was shaped by the voices and lived experiences of people with disability at every stage. The slogan — See Me. Hear Me. Respect Me. — created by QDN members, is a powerful reminder that care should be as individual as the people receiving it.

When healthcare practitioners, health staff, and the broader community take time to understand and respect these needs, it helps create a Queensland that feels more inclusive, compassionate, and supportive for everyone.

Together with Smoke Creative, these messages have been brought to life in a way that celebrates diversity and encourages meaningful action — because when people with disability are truly seen, heard, and respected, our communities become stronger and more connected.
