Access information on the Register
The Queensland Rheumatic Heart Disease Register (Register) is accessible to Queensland Health employees that are involved in managing ARF and RHD patient care by submitting a request form for authorisation and completing the training.
Healthcare providers can request patient information by contacting the Register by email or phone 1300 135 854.
The Viewer
The Viewer is a web-based application that collates data from multiple Queensland Health systems, ensuring healthcare providers can access patient information quickly.
All Queensland Health employees and eligible health practitioners working external to Queensland Health can access The Viewer.
Certain information collected on the Register is sent to The Viewer enabling healthcare providers timely access to information about a patients ARF and/or RHD diagnosis, recommended management and treatment.
Information available on The Viewer, for patients on the Register, includes:
- a pop-up alert for patients that have a history of ARF and/or RHD; and
- on the Care Plans tab, a patients ARF and/or RHD diagnosis, care plan, disease severity and secondary prophylaxis and echocardiogram details.
