Queensland ARF and RHD data
The Queensland RHD Register (Register) is a secure statewide disease database that supports healthcare providers in the long-term management of patients living with ARF and RHD.
Register data collection, management, and access supports health service planning, research, public health improvements, and policy development. Sharing data from the Register enables healthcare providers and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to promote self-determination, deliver culturally safe care, reduce health inequities, and support shared decision-making.
Strict access controls and de-identification ensure that data can safely be used without compromising patient identities. Queensland Health adheres to strict privacy legislation and policies to protect personal information and maintain confidentiality.
The Privacy Information page outlines how Queensland Health collects, uses, protects, and shares personal information for patients recorded on the Register, including patient rights and choices.
