Practitioner Authorisation Renewal Process
Eligible medical and nursing clinicians are authorised by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Queensland Health to provide VAD services for 3 years from their initial date of authorisation. Prior to the end of a 3-year authorisation period, practitioners will be required to renew their authorisation to continue practicing for a further 3 years.

Renewal training
Following submission of the authorisation renewal application, the system will generate iLearn access for practitioners to complete the mandatory renewal training module. Renewal training takes approximately 60 minutes to complete and includes a series of interactive case studies and videos based on common questions and issues identified by clinicians and the QVAD Review Board.
