Influenza surveillance reporting
The timing and duration of the flu season in Queensland varies from year to year but generally occurs between May and October, with the peak commonly in August. Queensland Health produces a weekly surveillance report to provide a profile of influenza from a number of perspectives, including laboratory confirmed notifications and hospitalisations due to influenza.
