Hospital and Health Services Interpreter Service Coordinators (HHS ISCs) coordinate language services bookings to ensure health services are accessible for patients who experience difficulty communicating in English.
Hospital and Health Services Interpreter Service Coordinators’ role
- Organise, confirm and verify interpreter and translation bookings
- Verify invoice charges for interpreter and translation bookings
- Monitor and evaluate interpreter and translation services
- Develop and implement awareness raising strategies for new interpreter service arrangements
- Coordinate and conduct staff training
