Setting up your radiation business

New radiation businesses will need to follow a process to set-up their radiation sources and premises:

1. Possession Licence—have overall ownership and control of radiation source
2. Approval to Acquire—purchase or otherwise obtain a radiation source
3. Use Licence—perform a borehole logging purpose

Borehole logging business purposes include:

• borehole logging of oil and gas wells
• borehole logging of mineral deposits.

You may also need to relocate or dispose of radiation sources or transport a radioactive substance.
