Target group: CPCRE's education offerings in aged care are targeted at all levels of workers in aged care who have contact with residents and families.

Objectives/Aims: To help improve the standard of end of life care in Aged Care facilities

Details: CPCRE is able to work with aged care providers to deliver education sessions for aged care staff that focus on:

  • enhanced communication skills
  • increased awareness of, and ability to translate into practice, the Guidelines for a Palliative Approach in Residential Aged Care
  • increased utilisation of Advance Care Planning

CPCRE works closely with the Program of Experience in the Palliative Approach (PEPA), which aims to enhance the skills and expertise of health care providers in end of life care via placements with specialist palliative care service providers.
