Nurse Practitioner Symposium 2025
An annual online event for NPs and NP candidates that aims to promote best practice principles of care of people with life-limiting conditions and their families.
IPEPA Week 2025
IPEPA Week was established in 2023 as an annual event that provides palliative care education and placements to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Liaison Officers in a way that is not only valuable but also culturally safe. It runs annually in Meanjin (Brisbane) with mostly First Nations presenters.
Nurses and Allied Health Professionals Education Week 2025
The multi-disciplinary 2025 Nurses and Allied Health Professionals Education Week was designed to support, build and maintain knowledge of experienced clinicians who may not identify as specialist palliative care clinicians but who are caring for people at end of life.
Research Conference 2025
The 2025 Research Conference provided opportunity for Queensland and National researchers to present their findings under the theme of ‘Dissemination: Sharing Wisdom’.
Research Conference 2024
The 2024 Research Conference provided opportunity for Queensland and National researchers to present their findings under the theme of ‘Research in Palliative care, how far have we come?’.
Walawaani 2024
Walawaani provided opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers, Liaison Officers and Health Practitioners to learn from professionals and network with each other and with specialist palliative care clinicians. The event drew over 200 people at and included a variety of subjects, breakout learning circles, and a panel of First Nations leaders.
Research Conference 2023
The 2023 Research Conference focused on palliative and end-of-life care in regional and remote Australia with the theme of ‘Beyond the Divide, palliative care in regional and remote areas’.
Research Conference 2022
The 2022 Research Conference theme of ‘Moving to a New Normal’ considered changes brought about by the pandemic that have become normal in palliative care.
