Research conference
CPCRE Annual Research Conference is for health professionals of all disciplines working in all settings with an interest in research for palliative and end of life care.
Walawaani
Walawaani is run over a two-day period in Meanjin (Brisbane). The event welcomes both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clinicians and non-Indigenous clinicians. Amplifying First Nations voices regarding Palliative Care initiatives is the key focus of this conference. After the success of Walawaani 2024, Walawaani 2026 is currently being planned.
IPEPA week
IPEPA week provides education aimed at remote and very remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Liaison Officers. It is held in Meanjin (Brisbane) and combines placements and workshops over 5 days. IPEPA week aims to ensure participants feel safe and valued whilst learning about palliative care and creating a stronger network. This contributes to building confidence in supporting the return to spirit journey within their communities.
Nurse and Allied Health Professional (AHP) Education Week
Education Week for Nurses and Allied Health Professionals (AHP) provides opportunity for education aimed to improve knowledge and confidence of clinicians and increase workforce capacity to provide palliative and end-of-life care.
PEPA/IPEPA Queensland workshops and community engagement
