Resources for Families and Support Workers on Cognitive or Thinking Skills

Many people experience changes in cognition or thinking skills following an acquired brain injury. These changes can impact on family members and carers and cause worry and stress. The following resources aim to:

  • Increase understanding regarding the needs of people with Acquired Brain Injury
  • Increase understanding of some of the key cognitive or thinking skills changes and other changes that affect a person following an Acquired Brain Injury
  • Provide practical and useful information and ideas for assisting the person with cognitive changes post ABI to improve their function in various situations
  • Give you ideas for where you can go for further information, support or advice.
