Allied Health First Nations New Graduate Pathway

The Queensland Health Allied Health First Nations Graduate Pathway supports hospital and health services to implement First Nations Graduate Pathway Positions. The First Nations Graduate Pathway positions are Identified (lawful discrimination) roles, to be filled by graduates who are Indigenous to the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities.

These positions provide a range of benefits for early career First Nations allied health professionals including:

  • Funded attendance to the Indigenous Allied Health Australia (IAHA) Leadership program
  • Dedicated training and development time per week
  • Participation in regular clinical supervision
  • Participation in regular cultural mentoring

How to apply for an Allied Health First Nations Graduate Pathway Position

The First Nations Graduate Pathway positions are advertised through the Queensland Government’s Smart Jobs website and are implemented by individual hospital and health Services that are located across Queensland. There is not a centralised annual intake or application process.
